Nifty desperately needs gap ups!

Bears are trembling with anger. They will die their natural death once Nifty sustains above 4560 on Monday. They are expected to resurrect around 4620 - 4630 levels. If this level is passed with gaps we will meet with next throttle of 4730.

On down side the same 4400 & 4500 levels.

I,do not have intentions to go Intraday, due to higher degree of volatility this week.

However, i have some swingers from 3 to 6 days trading range. Have a look :

• AMTEKAUTO @136.45 if manages above 142.5 on closing basis go long.
• BAJAJHLDN @467.8 if manages above this level (which is most likely) on closing basis go long for tgt upto 510.
• BANCOINDI@34.25 if manages above 35.80 on closing basis go long for tgt upto 40.
• ATLANTA@107.95 if manages above 110 on closing basis go long for tgt upto 120.

Keep strict stop loss while taking these trades. Do not long if levels are not met.

Yet, for 24.08.09 MPHASIS & LT are luring me @cmp and lower for some Intraday gains.

On Monday no Nifty swinging - as i'll not be able to concentrate due to some other works.

Nifty did its pending job!

Nothing great! Nifty had to fill two gaps created on 17-08-09(down) & 21.08.09(up) . It did its job today.
Upside was capped around 4525 & down side never below 4400. Seeing the charts even a child could have deciphered this band.

Dear traders!
I'm happy with the calls vs points gain. Marvelous, in fact.

ORCHID -02.5 TO 103.7 OR FLAT = 1 pt. gain. Volatile with very narrow band.
PRAJInd - 82 TO 85 = 3 pts. gain. Slow and steady.
JPASSOCIAT - 205 TO 210 = 5 pts. gain. Nice gradual journy.
DLF - 370 TO 382 = 12 pts. gain. At last could not resist - Fired.
POLARIS - 134 TO 139 = 4 pts. gain. Firing right from the morning.

Total = 1+3+5+12+4 = 25 pts Net Gain.


Today no Nifty swinging. As decided to go with full throttle on PRAJIND and POLARIS.
However from 4482 to 4525 journey was irresistible. Several played.

Finally... Happened... What Was Destined... for ICICIBANK & JPASSOCIATE

Friends -

We play here Nifty and not global cue. What next has to happen with Nifty - it itself tells you in EOD scan one day in advance. This bloody global factor simply changes its playing range. And the art is to identify Short Squeeze/Bull Trap/Bear Trap during mkt hrs - that's all.

Today, i knew that at the end, it is going to fall. And what happened? It simply changed it's playing & S/R range due to global factor but at the end? It did what it was destined for.

When i asked friends to short nifty when it was going to kiss 4500 - several of them downplayed me. No problem. It's their choice. If you feel call is uncomfortable - ignore it, because, it's your money which is going to play. But i feel sorry for them who instead of shorts went long just before 4500.

In first half of play trade not initiated as Nifty opened out of its range. Later it showed that it has done so due to global pressure. In later half those hidden divergence played.
Look the statistics :

• ICICIBANK Shorted @ 732 & covered @ 715
  
• JPASSICIATE Shorted @ 213 & covered @ 208
• Nifty Swing (in short play) profit 30 points.

Net Gain 17 + 5 + 30 = 52 Points Net Gain.

By the way see 3IINFOTECH. It's zoooooooooming. Relish it. Trail stop loss. Should show 90 level shortly. Just wait.

Do not worry about UNITECH call. It will come up.

Friends! Ensure that Nifty does not sustain above 4416 to 4435 and go short. Trading calls for today during mkt. hrs. However, on weak global cues do not hesitate to short ICICIBANK, JPASSOCIATE.

A Very Welcome Loss!

After such a long time loss of some points. No problem. Any unforeseen move/activity/development during mkt. hrs. force mkts. to take wild swings. Today see this China! It happened today!. For me, it does not matter call is firing or not. What I ensure is that it does not go in opposite way very badly.

However, I made it very clearly to remain long only if Nifty is able to sustain above 4430 levels. It did not append. Therefore most the people did not took the trade and came out with few profit/loss.

However lets see :

STER@ avg 5 points profit
ALBK @ 1 pts right fired at the beginning itself.
AUROPHARM@ from 647 to 657 10 pts. Members could not resist therefore again from 640 to 650 10 more pts. Profit 20 points.
CHENNPETR while averaging came out flat.
CAIRN@ cmp and lower avg loss 8 pts.

Nifty Swings = 54pts profit.

Net Profit = 5 + 1 + 20 - 8 + 54 = 72 points profit.

By the way, have you seen how 3IINFOTECH has fired!. Tomorrow book profit if it remains below 78 levels on closing basis or is not able to clear throttle of 80 levels.
Wait some more time for UNITECH. If not fires, we should be ready to book LOSS.

Ok! Satisfied today.

Calls were given without taking into account the Asia mkt. performance in the morning. Actually Nifty sent the message in its EOD of 17.08.2009 itself about what it is going to do next. That's why i preferred longs instead of shorts. NTPC should have been fired more. But, i'm content as we are doing day trading.

• RELCAPITAL - profit 17 points.
• SESAGOA - profit 8 points.
• NTPC - profit 2 points.
• Nifty Swings - profit 70 points

In total 17+8+2+70 = Net Profit 97 points.

Today, several people asked about when to book profit? Look guys, It's day trading, be on profit booking side as early as possible. Do not see how much you are booking profit, important is that whether you are booking profit or not? Day trading is the most dangerous job to do in this market. Normally people win 3 times and loose 7 times. I have seen many experienced fellows in this state. And that no one is Mr. Market here. No one knows what is going to happen. It's simply my TA that i'm able to do so by the grace of God.

EOD scan of 14.08.09 Nifty provided me enough reasons to post the recommendations in advance. Let's see whats in store for tomorrow.

• ICICIBANK down more than 5% profit 20 points
• STER down more than 7% profit 20 points b'cos of gap down . Lol, STER among top looser/, in Nifty.
• ANDHRABAN down more than 2% 1 point
• HOTELEELA down down more than 3.5% 1 point
• SCI down more than 1% 1 point
• TITAN down more than 2.5% 40 points

Longs

• NTPC provided good chance to book profit on longs. Profit 1.5points.

Nifty Swings 84 points.
Total Profits : 20+20+1+1+1+40+1.5 +84 = a whopping 168.5

Nifty seems to look for support around 4550 levels during the initial hrs. of the mkt. After which it may rebound. Book profit if nifty does not fall beyond 4560 - 4550 levels in short calls.

Not a bad call at all!
Brave hearts are required in day trading. BPCL was not calculated exactly, however toppled from its height very well which left us in profits with sweet swings.

What can one ask more from NTPC? What a classic gradual fall. Was a perfect short candidate after opening higher.

• Average gain from BPCL 6 points.
• Gain from NTPC 7 points.
• Total gain of 6 + 7 = 13 points only.

Hah!
Today - not a great day.

This is what happens with gap up/down opening for day traders. All index shares already open with higher/lower percentage gain/loss. Whereas, I like choppy mkt conditions.

• LITL - Not bad points to score. Just 8
  
• Suzlon & Unitech after gap up opening just 2 points each.
• Nifty swing later returned just 28 points gain.

Overall 8+2+28 = 38 points gain.

Not at all happy! Let's see what's in store for tomorrow.

Friends, I'll wait a bit more. Let's see how mkts. perform today. See weather IIP numbers are able to overshadow Monsoon worry or not. And Dow is able to cross 9500 mark convincingly or not. However, Fed remarks are encouraging. Who is going to take farther our over inflated Nifty without a meaningful correction? etc etc .

• BPCL bought @504 booked profit @515 Net profit 10 points.
• Again bought @504 when nifty started to rebound. Booked profit @ 512 net profit 8 points.
• NTPC bouught @205 When nifty started to rebound. Booked profit at last @209 net profit 4points.

Friends Nifty has got strong resistance @ 4500 - 4520 for today with -ve side.
Let it pass 4530 convincingly. Wait mkt to open. I will suggest on messenger to got long or short. Gap down opening then lackluster movement is expected.

-Lupin shorted @ 1000 booked profit @ 982 Gain 18 points Touched 980
(It was Volatile as it had 1.39% equity changed hands in 2 block deals )

-Glenmark Booked Loss dues to heavy selling. Timely advise on messenger enabled friends to book loss of 5 points only. No problem. Its Day Trading.

- Unitech we went long @ 84 booked profit @ 88 . It kissed 88.60, We had gain of 4 points.
- Pnb opened @ 650. We went long @ 652. Profit booked @ 680. Huge gain of 28 pints.
- Kotak bank we went long @ 725. Booked profit @ 740. Gain of 15 points. We had a decent gain.
- Tatachem we went long @ 245. Booked profit @ 255 profit 10 points . It touched 259.50.
